The recent rain and cooler weather has had a major impact on people's outlook to their gardens and our business too! After all the heat and the extremely dry summer we are all breathing a sigh of relief and it's time to rejuvenate the garden again.
Vegie seedlings are now fully stocked with autumn and winter varieties but don't leave it too late to put in any of the broccoli, cabbage or cauliflowers as if you do they won't grow quickly enough to be ready to harvest during th cooler months. Bloomer Pots are now stocked in the thousands so you can pick up any quantity you need to give insant colour to your garden. We now have lots of pansies in stock and they will flower right through till late spring if planted now. So pull out those scruffy summer annuals!
Don't forget we can water our gardens at any time with a hand held hose or sprinklers at specific times.Even though the days aren't hot for as long, plants are still growing strongly and will still use water. New plantings in particular need a little extra attention until established. Our new shadehouse is now finished and fully stocked! Bob Knowles(that other builder) has done a fantastic job, starting with just a brief idea of what we wanted, to designing and building the shade area virtually by just looking at was needed - and doing it!
We are extremely happy with the result and would thoroughly recommend Bob.
The area is now much more attractive and certainly houses our shade plants in a lot better environment. |
